Description:

The Kurdish Professionals started out like many other millennial connections—via Facebook. The group started in Nashville—also known as “Little Kurdistan—to create a global network of Kurdish professionals to support one another in education and career aspects. Since 2016, we have registered as a non profit, held events, brought Kurds together, and started a conversation that has shifted the Kurdish diaspora.
Free from politics and religion, we have noticed that almost all Kurds have one thing in common: a desire to educate. We all want to succeed and we all want to inspire. We have used our social media pages to create spaces for Kurds to share stories of education, career journeys, struggles they’ve experiences, and successes they’ve celebrated. We have shifted the dialogue to highlight the importance of education, career advancement, and issues around diversity and inclusion. We want to create a network of thinkers and doers while highlighting the amazing Kurds in our society.
