CFR Releases A New Guide to Kurdistan History

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has released a brand new multimedia piece called, “The Time of the Kurds,” a brief guide to Kurdistan history. The CFR InfoGuide Presentation is presented in a friendly, approachable format, and covers the basics of Kurdish history, culture and key issues.

The Time of the Kurds” is the most recent installment in the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) InfoGuide Presentation series, which has covered topics from Child Marriage, to China’s Maritime Disputes and The Sunni-Shia Divide.

CFR Guide to Kurdistan History

The InfoGuide includes seven sections: an “Overview Video“, “Who are the Kurds“, “Multinational Heritage“, “Historical Context“, “Changing Middle East“, “Flashpoints“, and “Resources.” Click on any of the titles above to be taken directly to each section.

The presentation also includes several infographics, maps and timelines. These infographics cover basic facts and figures about the Kurdsa nd Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as the fundamentals of Kurdistan history.
