Females on the Frontline is a campaign that highlighted the Kurdish female fighters that have emerged as popular figures for their effectiveness and bravery in war against ISIS. This campaign was launched for International Women’s Day to continue inspiring the world to stand up for women’s equality.
Our Aim
To celebrate the bravery of Kurdish female fighters and to raise awareness about the shared value of gender equality between Westerners and Kurds.
What We Accomplished
The Kurdish Project partnered with Spirit of America to create a film dedicated to the Kurdish women on the frontlines of the fight with ISIS. We also conducted interviews with some of the fighters, allowed people to thank the women, and have provided a donation link to directly support the Peshmerga with basic items, first aid kits, and medical supplies.
