Kurds in Syria Celebrate Kurdish Clothes Day

While the war against ISIS and the Assad regime rage on, Kurds in northwestern Syria, a region known as Rojava, have found time to celebrate Kurdish Clothes Day. Photos are courtesy of Rudaw.

Celebration in Syria

Kurds in the town of Qamshilo, or Qamishli celebrated Kurdish Clothes Day by taking to the streets dressed in traditional Kurdish dress, and playing traditional Kurdish music.

March 10th is traditional Kurdish Clothes Day, and is celebrated by millions of Kurds, men and women, young and old, in Kurdistan and around the world.

The slideshow below includes photos of young children, older Kurds and others dancing and enjoying themselves. Enjoy.
